Melodic dictation
Configuration
A 1-bar count-in, then a 2-bar melody plays at 100 bpm. Pick the staff that matches what you heard from four candidates.
- All four staves share rhythm, key signature, and overall contour — only specific notes differ. You have to hear which notes happened, not just "this one's obviously wrong".
- Wrong picks shake; the answer reveals after two wrong tries.
- Replay anytime — replays don't count.
Trains the listening half of transcription, isolated from the slow note-writing half. Recognition is a weaker skill than recall — but at the early stages, more reps per session matters more than rep difficulty.
Every run is 10 questions.
